Abraham Lincoln High School
Philly Project P.R.I.D.E. Inc. was fortunate to collaborate with Lincoln High School through the Department of Labor Summer Bridge Program.
Reflected in the video are memorable experiences of learning and respect fostered by Lincoln High School's administrators, teachers, and staff. Coupled with Kids First and Heart Speaks, Philly Project P.R.I.D.E. Inc. exemplified the program’s core values.
Students received academic instruction in the mornings and supplemental enrichment activities during the afternoon. In addition, they went on trips to Arcadia University, Dave and Busters, and the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
In short, students developed a strong rapport with their peers, teachers, and the expectations of high school students. The exposure to academic enrichment and social development will prove useful as they matriculate toward post-secondary educational attainment.
"Learning is a life-long endeavor that should not be halted during the summer." Kenny Perry
